Today, it is 75 years since the sound of guns fell silent at the end of the war in Europe. As we honour those who fought through this terrifying period, the sacrifices they made and determination shown, this year more than any we can almost sense the community spirit that would have been felt 75 years ago.
As we face a very new challenge, during the pandemic, this day reminds us how much we have to be thankful for.
